Name: Agitha.
Occupation: Princess of the Bug Kingdom.
Age: 15.
Race: Hylian.

The Bug Princess

Agitha has a rather interesting appearance, one that suits the rest of her. Standing at about 5'1", she has a rather slim build and looks rather young. Blonde hair pulled up in pigtails, along with a headband and an assortment of beads, plus the interesting decorations she's chosen for her face. Small, colorful dots are seen under her big, purple eyes.

As for her outfit, she is seen wearing a great assortment of jewelry, helping to spice up the gothic lolita style dress she is wearing. On the hem of the dress is a large, ornate butterfly, plus two pink butterfly wings can be seen protruding from the back of the outfit. To top it off is the basket she's always seen with, along with the matching parasol that gives her an overall dainty, yet unique look.

Oh, how she rules her kingdom...

The first thing you would notice upon meeting Agitha is probably how distant and young the girl appears to be. Her youth and over-active imagination seem to give her the appearance of being slightly delusional, as there is really no doubt that she will believe in anything and everything, perceiving the world on a rather different plane than everyone else. She is almost constantly in her own little world.

It is this delusional trait of hers that allows her to live as Princess Agitha in her castle of bugs, waiting for guest to show up to her ball (which also happen to be bugs). While most girls find bugs and insects utterly disgusting, Agitha, as you will notice, is utterly obsessed with them. She often makes rounds out of town carrying her basket and empty glass jars to collect insects to bring home and play with, and they make rather compatible playmates for her, despite the fact they seem to lack any true sense of interaction.

In that vein, she is also not at all shy about asking for or requesting favors of others, which could be considered one of her more child-like traits. She upholds the role of a Princess so stubbornly in her mind she follows this code with distinction around the clock, night and day, and more often than not expects you to play along with the charade as well. (Perhaps she has spent so much time pretending, she has merely convinced herself that she is indeed Princess Agitha of the Bug Kingdom?)

This politeness can very well be an exaggerated trait of her imagination, helping her get all the more into the role of a Princess. She is kind and direct, always regarding everyone with a polite nod of the head, please's and thank you's in tact at all times. Her heart is in the right place and should she ever find anyone in a dilemma, she will gladly offer her help and do what she can.

However, though she may speak in a somewhat dignified tone to anyone who comes visiting, you can see more of her child come out when she speaks with insects, often regarding them with fond pet names and no doubt using the baby voice with them. She is utterly playful and always smiling, and almost nothing can break her stride.

Abilities/Strengths; One of her strengths is her accepting personality. Agitha, an oddity in herself, is not one to judge and can accept things for what they're worth. She can also see past faults or misconceptions to understand the true beauty or inner workings of something, which probably contributes to her affinity with bugs. Most people think they're disgusting, but she finds them adorable!

Also, she isn't afraid to speak her mind. If there is something on it, she isn't too shy to speak up and address it (such as when Link goes to leave and still has bugs in his possession, she'll gladly make a comment informing him of this). If there is ever anything she needs or wants, she is not too shy to ask, and this makes living independently rather easy for her.

Weaknesses; Sometimes, Agitha is just too immersed in her own world to be truly aware of what's going on around her. Her imagination can sometimes go too far and she can get lost in her own charade, probably even convincing herself at times that she is indeed a Princess.

Her accepting personality can at times make her a bit overly trusting, and this is shown when she approaches Link when he's in wolf form. Granted, Link isn't a threat, but there are a great number of things in the world of Hyrule that are.

Notable Possessions; Agitha carries with her a basket full of glass bottles and jars, used for collecting bugs, no doubt. Also, she has a parasol of sorts that she likes to use and carry, holding it over her head to help give her a daintier look.

Little bug, little bug, won't you fly away?

Agitha is a young girl with a seemingly mysterious past. Nothing is known about her parentage or family, and if you ask she will insist that they are far away ruling a kingdom of their own, leaving her with the responsibility of her own bug kingdom. It is unknown whether she knows what actually became of them, or whether she is even still in contact with them, but it's certainly not something she'll openly discuss. Even if she did have a vague idea, she'd probably allow her imagination to override reality and make up her own excuse, regardless.

We first meet her in Hyrule Castle Town, living in her own 'castle' in one of the back alleys. Upon entering the home you will find a magnificently decorated grove of sorts, where she keeps all kinds of insects and animals, which she will tell you is her kingdom. Though for the most part it is a glorified bug collection, Agitha tends to take it very seriously.

Her time is mostly spent taking strolls to Hyrule Field, where she proceeded to hunt for bugs or other creatures that would enjoy living in her Kingdom. Most of her time is spent looking over them, and sometimes she even plans events, such as the Golden Bug Ball. Though she insists she sent out invitations to them, it seemed they never received them. When they don't show, she asks a favor of Link, a hero passing through to collect them for her.

When she does receive one of these coveted Golden Bugs, she is able to fork over a high price for them. Much speculation revolves around how she acquired such funds, as she's not an actual Princess, though it's very possible that she used her creativity to provide income for herself. Her imagination makes a grand tool when it comes to arts and crafts, and it'd be so easy to load such creations into a basket and sell the around town!

It is always a possibility that her admirers help provide money, however, as she does appear to have a few. Though she is young and a bit loopy, she does seem to be rather striking with the young gentlemen around town. She seems unaware of their gawking, however, and simply continues with her daily routine.
